After 10+ years of people fighting against it, this government is pushing through this dystopian CETA legislation.

Corporations can and will sue the state for interfering with their profits - for example increasing the minimum wage, against fracking bans, etc.

This is incredibly undemocratic.

Today is two years since Israel murdered writer, educator and activist Professor Refaat Alareer in Gaza. In memory of him and the thousands of beautiful Palestinians whose lives were stolen by the apartheid state, we keep fighting for freedom, justice and equality for Palestine. Let's it be a tale..

Sinn Féin have literally taken more seats than Fine Gael at both of the last elections.
During a heated exchange in the Dáil during Leaders' Questions today, Simon Harris accused Sinn Féin of being "hypocrites".

"People see through it, and that's why you are sitting over there rather than being in government," he told Pearse Doherty.

If you wanted to "clean up" social media, you could start by enforcing laws and regulations governing tech platforms. That would be messy, awkward, and might achieve something.

No, instead, this government is introducing new laws to monitor what citizens say and do online.

Britain never did grow out of oppressing the Irish because the country generally feels like it *should* own us regardless of all that pesky war of independence stuff
This is madness.

All books by Normal People and Conversations with Friends author Sally Rooney set to be withdrawn from sale.

The 34-year-old Irish author says: “The disappearance of my work from bookshops would mark a truly extreme incursion by the state into the realm of artistic expression.”

Rooney has said she intended to use royalties from her work "to go on supporting Palestine Action."

- the killings were unjustified
- none of the 14 dead (7 of whom were children) had guns
- no warnings were given
- no soldiers were under threat
- the troops were the first to open fire
