It was actually a really cool place to go to HS. At the 10 year reunion we all got along and one of the spouses was like "Wow, you went to high school with some really cool people" and all the spouses were like "yeah..." We were a very friendly place without a lot of cliques.

15 years ago I went to a movie screening with some middle schoolers for summer camp, and the theatre showed a trailer for The Matrix in their summer matinee series and the middle schooler sitting next to me whispers, "Is this about a guy who can stop time???" and I promptly crumbled into dust

I migrated my LJ to Dreamwidth, which as far as I can tell isn't owned by an oligarch. It was SUPER easy to transfer my ENTIRE journal history, including my icons (!), to DW and keep journaling from there. Big fan of dreamwidth.org

Maybe there's a reverse razor wrt to Bluesky that is useful: If the stupidest explanation is the correct one, then you can assume the person doing the action is fascism-curious at least?

Back in 2016 @joshtpm.bsky.social coined the term "Trump's Razor" to describe this. Instead of looking for the 11-dimensional chess to describe his actions, just assume that the stupidest explanation is the correct one. Four Seasons Total Landscaping is the perfect example and it has never failed
