I wouldn't necessarily have predicted that this one story would get to me more than many others, but I feel heartsick.

Every married woman who takes her husband's last name has changed their legal name. Legal name changes aren't a matter of opinion - Rachel is her name.

This so obviously violates the constitution that I feel like taking it up can only mean bad things.

Overturning birthright citizenship will create stateless people pretty much immediately. After that, it will be a path for yanking away citizenship of non-white people and any and all dissidents.

Marley was dead: to begin with. There is no doubt whatever about that. The register of his burial was signed by the clergyman, the clerk, the undertaker, and the chief mourner. Scrooge signed it: and Scrooge’s name was good upon ’Change, for anything he chose to put his hand to. Old Marley was dead.

I realize everyone knows this, but you'll note that what he saw was two survivors trying to flip a boat over.

Which is a thing literally fucking anyone in a shipwreck would do.

The other stuff he said was fanfic he made up about them.
Q: What did you see in the second strike?

Cotton: "I saw two survivors trying to flip a boat -- loaded with drugs, bound for the United States -- back over, so they could stay in the fight."

I bought several replacement bras online and they arrived and none of them fit. They were literally the same style and size as my older ones but it's become apparent that the only reason my current ones fit is because they're stretched out 😖

I guess I'm going up a cup size.

For anybody who thinks being a U.S. citizen will save them, or that being white will save them, this is a blonde white woman who is a US citizen and the thugs took her too.
Anyway, for the 80 billionth time, stand up for everybody’s rights
Agents in Key Largo, Florida ripped this woman wearing medical scrubs out of her car as she screamed she is a US citizen. Agents cuffed her and put her in one of their cars.

She was eventually let go, per David Goodhue of the Miami Herald, who also took this footage:

We saw major disagreement in Congress during the House hearing yesterday, and there is rising opposition to these misguided policies.

We need to get louder.

Remember the “where can we travel to get vaccines?” panic earlier this year and we made noise and it was all fine?

1. That’s probably because they were too chaotic to figure out how to do this very bad thing.

2. You both need to make all the noise in the world -and- start figuring out your plan B
If new proposals detailed in an FDA memo are put into place, experts told me it would mean the end of annual flu shots. And end of most vaccines for pregnant people. And maybe the end of updates to pneumonia vaccines. And more.

Striking a boat full of unarmed civilians is murder. The first strike was murder. The followup strike was also murder.

We're not at war. It's not a "war crime". Everyone involved, including the POTUS, SecDef, the Admiral who relayed it and the person who pressed the button needs to be on trial.

But NEWSMAX?? lol damn
Woah. Newsmax’s legal analyst just said Pete Hegseth and everyone involved in the illegal boat strike should be “prosecuted for a war crime.”
