As NACT1 look to ban social media for under 16s (when the real problem is actually over 55s) it is time for a honest and informative ad from Australia in banning social media for under 16s
The Australien Government has made an ad about the Social Media Ban for Under-16s, and it's surprisingly honest and informative.

Remember that Poto Williams was Police Minister prior to Hipkins. Clearly she upset the Police so they appointed Hipkins as a more pliant and servile Minister to the Police. They got what they wanted.
It goes without saying Mark Mitchell was lying through his teeth about not knowing until nov 6th but whenever I hear a 'no recollection' that is always used by politicians to give wiggle room if any evidence to the contrary ever comes to light.. #nzpol

Ironic really it's the one issue he can legitimately blame the previous government and Hipkins in particular.
Of course Luxon cancels today's Jake Tame interview once he got wind of the Andrew Coster interview. #nzpol

Not sure I buy all her excuses but the Police have always considered (and no doubt will continue to do so) that lay people are a hindrance to them and are to be kept at a distance.

I know I'm probably late to this but watching Chanderpaul bat take guard etc his last name could be Smith and you could tell he's the son of Shivarine - haven't seen him bowl yet #Windies

How well do Ikea pay their staff? cos Luxo doesn't like the bottom feeders earning enough to live
He does NOT have ANY IKEA furniture in his HOUSE, this is like the fucking SCOOTER

I am going to be annoyed about this for years to come
OMFG he's such a f'ing prick

No surprise here. A dodgy appointment of a dodgy politician. (Note not a left wing bias by the Post as Eagle although nominally a Labour MP was very much right wing). Only good read a little bit but that's all that's needed. www.thepost.co.nz/politics/360...
Watchdog probes spending under Paul Eagle’s leadership of council
The former Labour MP traded Parliament for the Chathams - now the Auditor-General is probing his council’s spending after a whistleblower raised concerns.

Hillary Clinton thinks you are stupid.

She thinks that people have concluded that Israel committed genocide because of TikTok.

A politician who voted for the Iraq war because of a pack of lies thinks young people are being brainwashed by disinformation.

Incredible.

Anyone who conflates running a country with a family budget has no place looking after the books of a local Kindergarten let alone the nations Treasury.

This isn't even debatable, because it's flat out WRONG.

The headline - “I will never waiver in my commitment to fiscal responsibility” - translates to, “I solemnly pledge to put money before people”. Vote accordingly

I was led to believe by people whose opinions I usually trust that Edmonds was smart. Well that's been blown out of the water. That old canard that the economy is like a household went out with the ark.

NZ Labour is always doing shit like 'The present government is apocalyptically bad for New Zealand. That's why we're going to remove the registration fee for caravans.'

Yeah arms companies, oil Coys, mining Coys et al have a proud tradition of nurturing and supporting the local populace NOT. Fucking clown.
I thought the Provincial Growth Fund he squandered was going to do that?

You need to have a word to your leadership
It’s been the biggest annual conference participation in years. We know what’s at stake, & what others bring to the table. Be nice if we could all work together & strengthen the parties that we support
November 29, 2025 at 10:08 PM
Sounds like a facsimile of UK Labour's fiscal restraints. However they did not win (although with just 30% of the vote) because of these policies but rather because of 14 years of austerity that the tories had put Britain through. Not applicable here.
I tell you what's irresponsible, leaving hundreds of thousands of kiwis wanting work or more work... There is loads of stuff that needs doing.
OPINION: Labour’s finance spokesperson set the tone for 2026 with a message of restraint and fiscal responsibility — while avoiding the details voters will eventually demand.

Of course the PAT is not guaranteed - in fact they had already missed 1
I’ll break it down another way:

If wait and you don’t get it, the game is over

If you try now and don’t get it, you need two scores

What’s better?

They need to sort out their communication - from their leader no less!
This is good news from Labour

They are still commited to pay equity

#nzpol
The latter. We're committed to pay equity. We don't think the number calculated by the Nats is much use and we will have our own costing in due course.

Good to see LaFleur letting Love air it out - finally!
With Kraft out Watson has very clearly (and correctly) become the focal pt in Green Bay. Love the aggression on early downs.
November 27, 2025 at 8:08 PM
!00% correct. The rise of the Greens in the UK means Starmer has had to change tack (albeit only slightly eg 2 child benefits cap)- probably too late and Hipkins would ignore it and be doomed to repeat the same mistake
Luxon and the coalition suck enough that Labour very well could slide into power with a slim majority.

But Hipkins is making it clear he's running the Kier Starmer playbook of punching left and indulging the right while inspiring no one. And it will be just as unpopular here as in the UK...
can labour kick hipkins already lol

like... he's been more supportive of ACT and NZF MPs than this

AND we're well past the point where Labour should be kicking itself in the face over this stuff - Wood, at the very least, has done his time

www.thepost.co.nz/politics/360...
November 27, 2025 at 5:29 AM
The only criticism I've heard of Woods is that he tried to do too much. IMO that's better than Hipkins who tries to do nothing.
Hipkins has still not denounced Winston and the anti trans policy recently announced

Hipkins continues to white ant the very person more capable than him and would succeed him as a leader Day 1 of the new regime
