That is outstanding.

Yeah, there are most definitely counting problems here. And reports can be aggregated or disaggregated, too.

I do wonder if France is able to have any actually accurate sense of the proportion of Ukraine's intelligence that it provides. I can readily imagine not.

i have been reading Tom Ricks’ “Fighting the Good War” which is a military analysis of the civil rights movement, and one thing that comes abundantly across is that movement leaders and ordinary people made it a practice to refuse to fall into despair and cynicism.

👀 Agent reporting (known as a CX) from Sir Paul Dukes, codenamed ST 25, and the only SIS agent to be knighted for his services in Russia, from January 1919. Dukes was an important agent on Bolshevik political and military affairs, who later wrote about his experiences.

It’s been reported locally, but I’m not sure how much national notice this has gotten. As part of this invasion by shithead goons, they are putting ICE agents in jetbridges and other parts of the airport at Minneapolis-Saint Paul. If you are flying Delta via MSP, you are putting yourself at risk.

On the extremely off chance that anyone in Minnesota needs an intelligence historian, DM me. I particularly focus on 20th century US intel. My dissertation was on the far-flung US intel in WWI. But I can do other periods of US intel history and in a pinch could do UK or Soviet, too.

The great @usefulnoise.bsky.social made a request that we all write something about what life in Minnesota is like for folks who live elsewhere or might be outside our normal neighbothis-Bluesky footprint. So I went to cursed Facebook and wrote this. Maybe it will help you share your own thoughts.
