Last night, at midnight, I walked 3 1/2 miles home from Wrigley Field down Addison.

It was a lovely walk- a quiet, well off part of town, with a fancy high school at Western.

Today, the area is swarming with ICE and is magnitudes less safe than it was for me last night in the wee hours.

Was just at a neighborhood school at dismissal. Hundreds of people with whistles surrounding the school and stationed down every block making sure ICE doesn’t snatch anyone. The same is happening at all the schools around here. I love my neighborhood and I love Chicago.

In addition to the excellent and detailed historical background, I have to say this opinion is really very well-written. It's long, sure, but the language is clear and unambiguous, the sentences are generally well-structured, and it was clearly written for the public. It's exemplary.

Masked men arrested one of Pilsen’s longtime tamal vendors near Damen and 21st Pl, by Chase.

Those ladies are very loved by the community. I bought tamales from her many times.
