I was in Munich last year and I learned that much of the pain caused in WWII came from a German sense of invincibility. They could never be bombed, they didn’t lose WWI, they were the Germans. Then American bombers came along and humbled them, and I see so many of the parallels between the two now
"I do think Americans are the quintessential unbombed."

Tim Miller and Ben Wittes on how Americans became “the unbombed," fighting over imaginary crises while other countries face very real ones.

Imagine if there were regular polls on "diabetic issues", as well as breathless news articles on "diabetic ideology" and politicians giving speeches about the "diabetic agenda".

Healthcare is healthcare, period.
Polling on trans issues is difficult to interpret. It becomes even more difficult when pollsters use politically charged terms like 'transgender ideology.'

Great new analysis by @billiejsweeney.bsky.social, only on Assigned Media.

Social media is awash with videos of men filming themselves approaching women in public spaces and attempting to flirt. In many cases, the videos are filmed and uploaded without the women’s consent. https://cnn.it/4qtIsvB

U.K. might lose a prime minister because a guy who worked for him knew another guy who hung out with Epstein. Meanwhile the U.S. opposition party is telling our President, who was Epstein's best friend, that his secret police should get better training so their public street murders look less messy.

kind of funny that an olympian said they are here to represent "compassion, respect, and love for others" and some people automatically knew that was a statement against them

The pivot to video is a tax on women's time and dignity, I will die on this hill.
One thing about the enormous pressure journalists are under to make videos and TikToks and do streams that kills me is that, like… some of us are meant to be read and not seen. Commenters get SO MAD about the way I look whenever my face breaches containment! Just let me write!

You know who you never hear about in the Epstein files? Denny Hastert, he’s one of those old school kind of Republicans. He didn’t use connections or money, he was a self-made pedophile, pulled up by his own bootstraps

"microtransactions in games started by cabal of pedophile elites for the purpose of indoctrinating kids into an economy"

Ok. Well, we all knew it was evil somehow but I really didn't expect Epstein to be responsible for why video games are bad now. That's just not what I would've thought.

The Epstein emails should really end the debate over whether society should have billionaires. "Do you want there to be a class of people so powerful they can fuck your kids and no one will even try to do anything" seems like an easy sell if everyone in politics wasn't trying to get on their payroll
