thankfully for most of us the leftist polticial ZIRP is just a collection of three words that together don't mean anything but kind of vaguely sound good to the type of guys who click like on word salad that sounds smart and nuzzles their confirmation bias like a soft animal

Street Fighter doesn’t deserve good movies, or even good looking ones. The only Street Fighter movies that should ever be made are campy pieces of shit and this looks like it’s gonna check all the boxes.

they don't even pretend to represent you anymore

why do you think they're spending so much effort reminding you of their monopoly on violence

I too learned the fundamental principle of American civics in my youth: one side always capitulates to legislative terrorists on the other side as a "compromise" so they can all go home and enjoy the enormous wealth they've hoarded by conspiring with capital interests to fleece the public
Yes, a much better outcome would have been to keep the government shut down indefinitely while planes fell out of the sky and the economy began to crash, that certainly is a simply scenario that it would be easy to manage

the bubble effect of recommender driven media consumption allows you to market your message positively to people who have legitimately paranoid beliefs without alienating those who don't. many of these are willing to single issue vote them once pressed. we have no idea how many of them there are.
This is strictly a personal observation from living in LA, but RFK scares me so much because otherwise orthodox liberals with a woo food and chemicals streak are being converted into lunatic conservatives.
SCOOP: Academy Award-nominee Liam Neeson narrated a recent anti-vaccine documentary that glorifies RFK Jr.’s rise to power.

In the film, Neeson—a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador—calls the COVID-19 vaccines “dangerous experiments.”

I’M LOSING MY SHIT THIS IS SO FUNNY

A succinct write-up of one of the many reasons why atproto is dogshit shovelware that will be relegated to the dustbin of history whether the tech-libertarian teens contributing to it like it or not

Perhaps baking the tribalism-as-profit-motive into the protocol itself was shortsighted, eh

this is sort of the whole game, right

there's a point in US political media beyond which the pathology of Access-as-Journalism encircles itself -- an event horizon of journalistic malfeasance and interpersonal incentive from which it's impossible for anything but bad fan fiction to escape
Apart from everything else (and there's a lot going on here) this is a great confirmatory example of what I've been saying about how news coverage of certain public figures is shaped by a network of powerful PR people and corrupt journalists. www.telos.news/p/part-5-loy...

I had a joke review for Kingdom Come Deliverance removed for racism. It was the phrase “white people be filthy as fuck” and a positive review. I think of that every time a story like this comes up. Which is oddly often lately
Valve has now rejected my complaint, confirming that "I don't like muslims" is a valid reason to leave a negative review on a game on Steam

This is where we're at now.

George Carlin was a USAF radar technician during the Red Scare and it is unsurprising that a LinkedIn "AI scientist" is incapable of understanding why his cynicism was so novel and culturally valuable to a generation spoon-fed moral justifications for racial segregation and McCarthyism
