My iPhone has 97 alarms on it. Most are deactivated, stale reminders, like, "respond to Bob's e-mail," but some are daily or weekly things. If I'm on-time to a meeting, it's probably because an alarm just went off for it.

BtL: iPhones' Reminders will offer alarms!

📣THREAD: It’s surprising to me that so many people were surprised to learn that Signal runs partly on AWS (something we can do because we use encryption to make sure no one but you–not AWS, not Signal, not anyone–can access your comms).

It’s also concerning. 1/
PSA: we're aware that Signal is down for some people. This appears to be related to a major AWS outage. Stand by.

Cis people:

This is where you fucking step up. Do everything you can to support trans people in the coming days. You're going to hear horrible, hurtful rhetoric about us. Shut it down. Don't let it stand.

And buy the trans people in your life a drink.

Look, at some point this is an American competitiveness issue. Since this guy got elected, I have to worry about my job evaporating because of tariffs, our airbnb had almost no guests this summer because Canadians are angry, and I have to worry about my immigrant spouse being deported for no reason.

Julian was incredibly smart, creative AF, and so driven. He was really generous with his time, mentoring when I was a teenager at Bethesda Softworks, where he was the technical and creative lead at the beginning. He had even been in a electro-pop band in Denmark. Shocked that he's gone so early.

The initial release with @neutrino.bsky.social at Shmoocon was more of a POC. More to come at #DEFCON

three million years ago somebody picked up a rock because it looked like a little face and held onto it

This is older than any god this is who we truly are
one of my favorite archaeology terms is "manuport" which just means a thing (rock, animal, stick, etc) that's in a weird place because a prehistoric human picked it up and carried it there. this one is estimated to be 3 million years old

I love "love on the spectrum" so much!
I was seriously worried the show would be mocking the subjects, but instead it displays the vast spectrum of autism, showing the full lives of the subject, and reminds us that autism is not what defines autistic folks

Also I love Connor and tanner.

Just to make it abundantly clear, they're using modern data analytic tools to track Americans by political affiliation and even autism diagnosis to first take away those people's rights (including autonomy and self-defense) and then take -them- away when it's cost and politically efficient.

The cast members of a wonderful and touching reality show, speaking out about #autism.

(Also, “Love on the Spectrum” on Netflix makes me cry tears of joy regularly.)
‘Love on the Spectrum’ cast members are clear: autism isn’t the problem — the problem is a world where people with autism are treated like a burden and aren't supported. That’s how RFK Jr. made many people with autism feel when he called it an ‘epidemic’ and a ‘tragedy’ that ‘destroys families.’
