The Tribune reports Elgin cop Jason Lentz posted specific addresses on Facebook for ICE to check out.

He was fired years ago after he posted that Ferguson PO Darren Wilson “Did society a favor” when he shot and killed 18-year-old Michael Brown. Later an arbitrator put Lentz back on the job.

Between Friday 10/17 and Saturday 10/18—just this weekend's demonstrations—Illinois State Police and Broadview PD arrested 30 people outside the ICE facility.
A representative with National Lawyers Guild Chicago tells me 15 people were arrested over the course of the day at Broadview yesterday.

All 15 have reportedly been released.
I'll check on protest figures/status from tonight as well tomorrow morning.

Every day for weeks it feels there is no day gone by without an alert about the BOTY area. There is an action tomorrow led by southwest side rapid response team in which they are demanding the property owners of the Yards Plaza in BOTY stop allowing ICE to use their space as a staging area.
I'm in BotY, Brighton Park, Gage Park, or Englewood a couple times a week. ICE and CBP have been so ever-present there that I have run into multi-vehicle phalanxes of masked agents completely at random on two different occasions in the last three weeks. 47th is a ghost town compared to spring.

For all that I'm happy to say I love & respect @govpritzker.illinois.gov, this thread, up & down, is some real bullshit + state troopers have been doing this for a couple of wks. I'm calling JB's office today; if you're in IL, I hope you will too:

Troopers just violently attacked protesters, tackled several, several arrests, shoving activists and press with batons.
Nextdoor is posting I've sightings and warning people. Nextdoor! The app for your most pro-cop paranoid neighbors!
My neighborhood has two FB groups because one is so conservative and right wing that people created another one to get news with less annoying comments.

Since last week, both groups are posting 80% ICE sightings and organizing rapid response.
soooo my Chicagoans, has anyone else's neighborhood facebook group gone from desperately apolitical (regarding federal politics) to at least 40% about ICE/DHS activity and organizing against it? like it's hard to overstate this shift

Whistling when ICE is about to kidnap someone for no reason is incredibly effective. They know what they are doing is wrong and will scatter in the wind when too many witnesses gather.

ICE in Chicago detained two people (that we know of) for filming them today, a cyclist and a neighborhood rapid responder. This in addition to tear gassing another neighborhood and brandishing weapons at rapid response—both things that have also already been going on for weeks.

The Coca-Cola Freestyle machine is an echo chamber. Good luck finding nuanced debates about hot button issues on that touch screen. It’s just soda names and flavored syrups

These guys are absolutely going to shoot more people.

They’ve already killed one man, shot a woman, and we’ve seen a pattern of pulling firearms on unarmed people doing nothing violent or illegal over the past few weeks.

Clearly they do not care at all about the temporary restraining orders.

Installing someone like Bari Weiss as the head of a major news organization isn’t even about profit or longevity. In effect it’s about continuing to shrink the traditional news industry smaller and smaller and weaker and weaker and less and less journalism based until it ceases to exist

I've noticed the opposing team's fans only cheer when the opponents score on us. To win those fans over, I recommend we score on ourselves repeatedly; that will surely make them so happy they'll start supporting us. And I'm sure all our fans will keep cheering for us—who else is there to cheer for?
