Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't there a big contretemps in the past year about the NYT editorial section not employing fact checking on their columnists?
David Brooks, who wrote in the NYT last month, "The Epstein Story? Count Me Out" is... in the latest Epstein photo dump published by @oversightdemocrats.house.gov.

He should absolutely be fired by NYT for this. Major conflict of interest that he didn't disclose.

one more cab calloway thing: he performed "minnie the moocher" in blues brothers, which was a 1931 song in a 1980 movie, the modern equivalent would be aerosmith performing "back in the saddle" in a movie released this year, you're all welcome

With his new comedy show and debut novel, is it time to let Louis C.K. force women to watch him masturbate again?
When a cancelled performer reënters the culture, we expect them to offer us a great work, channelling their newfound clarity into the finest art they’ve ever made. With his new comedy show and début novel, has Louis C.K. met the bar?

Louis C.K.’s Next Chapter
In a new standup special, and a début novel, the comedian navigates murky, post-#MeToo terrain: not quite exiled, not quite welcomed back.

Karoline Leavitt: “Trump kicked Jeffrey Epstein out of his club decades ago for being a creep to his female employees, including Giuffre”.

The idea that the well-known creep, sex pest and misogynist Donald Trump would be concerned about the behaviour of his bestie Jeffrey Epstein is beyond parody.

basically every 2024 truism is dead. Trump did not build a lasting multiracial coalition or turn young men into committed Republicans. You don’t need to cave on trans rights to win. The pundits have nothing left to tell you.

Approximately 230,000 of the 500,000ish Covid deaths under Biden were vaccine refusers. Biden did as much as he could to encourage and mandate vaccinations, to the extent that conservative courts pushed back and rolled back many of those efforts.
we're all trying to find out who in the media is spreading all this misinformation

I don't know what the big mystery is over the Louvre Heist.

It's pretty obvious to me who the culprit is. There's only one person it could be!

Trump's demolition of the East Wing, despite assurances that he wouldn't touch the existing building, is a broken promise, perhaps the most visceral, literal kind, that evinced a president preoccupied with gilded priorities—even as economic pain swells around him.
What shutdown?
Kristi Noem's new private jets. A shocking White House demolition. The Trump administration's gilded priorities are clear.

We have armed secret police kidnapping people off the street based on the color of their skin.

When we win: we will haul them before a Senate committee. The masks will come off. There will be consequences.

Q: Do Democrats not have reason to be concerned that there are long-term plans by this administration to keep troops in American cities?

LEAVITT: Why should they be concerned about the federal govt offering help to make their cities a safer place?

I can’t believe that as recently as a few months ago, the consensus Democratic Party position, even on the left, was that you couldn’t call to ‘abolish ICE.’

Good luck to the Democratic candidates who run in 2028 while opposing the abolition of ICE.

A rogue fascist agency.
