6/ So Trump went to Xi to surrender. Trump rolled back the tariffs, paused the new restrictions, and in exchange Xi made a vague commitment to buy some soybeans and start exporting some minerals.

Xi had now proven that he could win a trade war with Trump.

An embarrassment.

Turned on NPR while running errands. 10 solid minutes of pure-cut, straight-up, pro-Trump copaganda.

It’s like they want America to be a fascist state.

We need a bigger national spotlight on this building raid, fam. Agents dropped from helicopters onto the roof. Citizens and non-citizens alike were dragged from their homes in the night. People who weren't kidnapped during the raid had their belongings seized after the fact. This is madness.
"Jones, 27, is among the residents left at 7500 S. South Shore Drive who are trying to piece together what remains after an early morning, high-powered federal immigration raid led to the arrests of dozens of their neighbors at their South Shore apartment building."
Massive immigration raid on Chicago apartment building leaves residents reeling: 'I feel defeated'
The Department of Homeland Security said federal agents with Border Patrol, the FBI and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives arrested 37 people in the raid.

Jesus Christ, @msnbc.com Not five minutes into Ari Melber’s show, and you’re using Trump’s horrendous speech yesterday to…

…bash Democrats?

You want to know how we got here? Look in a fucking mirror. Jesus Christ?

It’s really not a mystery why we have succumbed to fascism. Worthless shits like Draper are going to be writing encomiums to the fascists from the railroad cars taking them to the camps.

The media is openly and actively involved in misinforming the public about a clear, basic, indisputable fact:

Political violence is almost exclusively driven by rightwing ideology.

None of this "We need a positive alternative vision" nonsense. The positive alternative vision is a world without Trump, with MAGA fascists, where things work like they supposed to and used to, where the economy grows instead of shrinks, where the laws are followed, where the Constitution matters.

This is a good article because it isn't a mere victory lap, but a good explanation of *how* the "alarmist liberals" among us got it right.

(And I'm not saying it is good just because I too have been chided online and in person for being one of those "alarmist liberals" myself.)
