My only disagreement is I think this framing implies it’s ethical to have $100m or $500m.

Drawing a bright line cutoff point is always hard, but I propose “no more than the GDP of the poorest UN member state” as a modest starting point, and I’m willing to negotiate down from there.

Imo, anyone richer than the poorest UN Member state should count as a foreign state actor for the purposes of investigating them for treason, espionage, or sedition

Which I think puts that cut off at ~$65 million, Tuvalu’s GDP. If it’s treason to do it for Tuvalu, it’s treason to do it for yourself

1. It is nigh impossible to get that rich ethically.
2. To hoard such wealth rather than invest in your community, and improve society, is unethical.
3. An ethical billionaire ceases to be a billionaire, by neccesity.

No surprise at all; the allegations put out by DHS in the immediate aftermath are hotly contradicted. There’s is reportedly a body cam video out there which hasn’t been made public yet.

Miller hasn't been successful even at disappearing the people he though would be invisible. ICE can snatch brown people but turns out they have names and families and people sharing video of their stories. He did not reckon on that. If he can't get through this first step, he can't take the next. 2/

I have absolutely no doubt that Miller studies Nazi speeches and propaganda. He figures it worked back then, why not now, and he might be right. These people do NOT plan on a transition of power in 3 years or even in the midterms. They have committed so much crime the only way out is absolute power.
