Honestly just having a movie that had a style besides the bland, gray Realism™ aesthetic back then was glorious, despite its flaws.
I'm very disappointed that Miller is submitting himself to the next wave of slop, more creatively bankrupt than the Gray Movies, indeed without any creativity at all.

Conclusion: Ex-military guys with schizophrenic politics. r/AdeptusMechanicus: pathfinder_rpg (14.05), adhdmeme (7.27), dankleft (6.07), theowlhouse (5.88), kerbalspaceprogram (5.39). Conclusion: Current stereotypes are pretty much correct. r/BloodAngels: preppers (15.98), airforce (15.74), menslib (9.04), asktrp (9.01), asktrumpsupporters (8.45). Conclusion: Black Templars got nothing on these guys.

RIP renowned Italian film poster artist Renato Casaro.

Considered one of the most influential Italian poster designers, Casaro leaves behind a legacy of hand-painted artwork for thousands of films, including such classics as Conan the Barbarian, Octopussy, and A Fistful of Dollars.

He was 89.

Sad to hear about the passing of the Michelangelo of Movie posters, RENATO CASARO. The Man painted so many iconic posters, specially in the 70s/80s: CONAN, TERMINATOR, DUNE, TOTAL RECALL, DANCE WITH THE WOLVES, BLOW OUT, FLASH GORDON, RAMBO, NEVER-ENDING STORY, and the list goes on and on. 1/2

Finally: AI cannot do your job, but an AI salesman can 100% convince your boss to fire you and replace you with an AI that can't do your job, and when the bubble bursts, the money-hemorrhaging "foundation models" will be shut off and we'll lose the AI that can't do your job, and you will be long gone, retrained or retired or "discouraged" and out of the labor market, and no one will do your job. AI is the asbestos we are shoveling into the walls of our society and our descendants will be digging it out for generations:
