DC on Earth 616. 100% that bitch. Lots of opinions on lots of things. Far more questions. Do my best to be kind.

Me also when the food arrives
I would not be surprised if the #Orioles offered like 4 for $160M hoping higher AAV would count for something so Elias can avoid the risk of a bad contract on the back end

Unfortunately you have to just accept you might take it on the chin. Such is the cost of doing business if you want to contend
BREAKING: The New York Post has learned Dylan Cease to Blue Jays. $210M, 7 years
November 27, 2025 at 1:18 AM
Good but that was not even close to the worst thing Martin Bally said on that recording tbh
November 27, 2025 at 12:31 AM
Blue Jays remain on the cusp of a ring with money to burn, which makes Cease the perfect signing
Cease has 5 straight 200 strikeout seasons. No one else has more than 3 in that time.

Easily the most bittersweet time of year for me. Sweet hibernation, Darth!

i am thankful for all of u keeping me company here on the blue sky during this year

That is a nice looking EV with great specs. Tesla has a big problem. Their first mover advantage and cult of personality around Elon inspired folks to overlook the fact the cars were terrible

The competition, always better at making cars, has caught up, and Elon got exposed and made the brand toxic
I don't see how Tesla's Model 3 can survive if Benz can offer an alternative EV this cheap, with this kind of performance, on top of the 15% tariff that it's charged in the US.

Imagine what this model does to Tesla in Europe, where Benz pays no tariffs.

Or until it's the right time to publish your book, also known as "pulling a Haberman"
everyone knows the number one quality of rigorous, responsible journalism is waiting months and months to reveal urgently newsworthy information until it can cause the most harm in your personal vendettas

OK sure but at least it is someone very smart and thoughtful like Loomer
very odd that the Post would write up someone’s speciation as if it’s news. What are we doing here

Good point but one of the reasons there were so many "horny media critic defenders" is that this behavior is common in DC. Not with the same stakes or the same level of lurid detail so not among the biggest media scandals ever, but there is plenty of fucking that compromises Beltway Media ethics
Hey, congratulations to all of Olivia Nuzzi’s horny media critic defenders. Heckuva job!

Hey is price fixing protected speech by the First Amendment?
BREAKING: RealPage is suing New York, challenging a new state law that bans landlords from using algorithms to set rents.

RealPage claims that its software, which landlords have used to collude on rents, is protected by the First Amendment.

Barro is just like the rest of Beltway Media, extremely online and completely brainrotted into believing that everything normal people do in their lives is aligned according to a political or ideological spectrum

Some are reporting the National Guard members aren't dead despite what the governor said. The situation remains in flux so let's take a beat to understand the situation

Though it was true yesterday and remains true that Trump should have never brought them here in the first place. Hope for the best

Anthony Rendon is quietly in the GOAT conversation along with Kirk Cousins and Elon Musk for most money made for the least accomplished
According to ESPN’s Alden Gonzalez, the Angels and Anthony Rendon are in discussions to buy out the final year of his seven-year, $245 million contract.

Rendon is owed $38 million in 2026 and is expected to retire, per Gonzalez.

OK but have there even been Star Wars movies without Force wielders? Even Rogue One has Chirrut Îmwe and Solo has Darth Maul

If we don't take this so literally, this could be a criticism of Andor as "just a bunch of space cowboys," which would be...a choice, but even then Andor has a Force healer
My unpopular opinion regarding Star Wars movies.

A Star Wars movie must have Force wielders.
That's what made Star Wars.

Without Force wielders it's just a bunch of space cowboys.
If they didn't say they're in the Star Wars universe you'd never know.

Still like them, just disappointed every time.

Whatever you want to criticize Mike Elias for, at least he began the process of making the #Orioles a real player in the international market. Although I wish they moved faster in the Asian markets, Basallo and De León are a direct result of his efforts
November 26, 2025 at 7:51 PM
Not to mention equating Piker to Fuentes and Tate on top of that. Bari Weiss is a profoundly unserious person
I’m still thinking about Bari Weiss saying that Hasan Piker (extremely popular influencer) is less of a measure of where Americans are than Alan Dershowitz (extremely unpopular Epstein associate, his own neighbors won’t sell him a pierogi)

I hear a lot of buzz about Unison in programming circles, so congratulations to the team on hitting 1.0. Of course like every successful programming language, Unison will need to be more than cool and instead prove itself at solving real use cases like data engineering or AI to gain traction

It is exhausting to fight the same battles that I thought we all agreed were over and done with forever and ever
Exclusive: Republicans plan to challenge vehicle-safety mandates, such as automatic emergency braking and alarms that remind drivers a child is in the back seat.

I am trying to figure out how a dude whose face looks like the surface of Mars, whose brain has been devoured by worms, and whose voice sounds like he's trying to get through puberty by speaking into your grandma's oscillating fan can be irresistible to women but men remain in a loneliness epidemic
The women drawn to RFK Jr. see an intoxicating cocktail of romance and danger—whether it's getting attacked by a yak or texting about taking metaphorical bullets for each other.

But to most others, Kennedy is a reckless conspiracy theorist whose appetite for danger will result in a sicker America.
The inexplicable sex appeal of RFK Jr.
How can such ferocious desire be attached to this man? Two memoirs by the women who love him offer some clues.

This is good news for most #Java and #Kotlin devs although the rumblings I have heard that it will take a while for Spring AI to be compatible with Spring Boot 4 is not so great news
After some minor #Java imports-renaming-bingo, I finally updated my app to #SpringBoot 4 🎉. Some minor issues around Jackson 3 & Hibernate 7. Happy that it was fairly straight-forward!

I think bro's got a shot. Note the populist message "Why do you want to work twice as hard?" combined with an appreciation for how Germans do things that fits quite nicely with the Fuentes wing of the Republican Party
