The agents who beat and then killed Alex Pretti after they took his gun - they were wearing body cams.

That did not stop them.

Unmasking them might. Not every time. But it might stop some of them.

Alex Pretti's killing was recorded on body-camera videos, DHS says
Investigators are reviewing videos of the shooting from multiple angles, a Department of Homeland Security spokesperson told NBC News.

This is what I’ve been waiting to see: arrest ICE agents who are in violation of regulations. JFC already.
The City of Philadelphia has introduced legislation to limited ICE in the city. The Federal Agents can not be masked, must have ID visible, must have arrested warrants signed by federal judges. They can't attack people. If they can't do this, they will be arrested.

It is important to acknowledge who is standing up and who is just trying to get by. Every day Americans are standing up while the powerful are mostly standing by.

Why aren't law firms standing up and sending lawyers to Minneapolis. Why aren't the corporations speaking out? Why isn't the media?

The person who raises the most and doesn't draw attention to Dem party failings is seen as most viable. They get more media attention, more opportunities for speaking with people, more introductions. By the time you get to a general election the Dem candidate is the least principled person.

I can tell which Dems have never worked on a campaign in these comments. This poster is correct in that a progressive candidate is more likely to refuse corporate funding, billionaires, etc. The Dem establishment won't talk to someone unless they are raising big 💵 and that's who they back. 1/2

The point of my post is that Dems suppress opposition candidates, or anyone outside their Establishment, then deride those candidates and their supporters for not "winning".

Their primaries are a joke. Theater. They're insufferable assholes who think their winning a rigged game makes them smarter.

The answer is NOT THIS. It's actually better to NOTHING than to push this list of pathetic "reforms."

It's better to do NOTHING than this.

A reminder that ICE hasn’t slowed down in Minneapolis at all.

Outside of Minnesota, it might feel like everything has changed since Alex Pretti’s murder. But ICE hasn’t actually lost any power and they’re continuing to terrorize our communities.

New: DHS now says that two weeks of missing surveillance footage from ICE's Broadview Detention center isn't "missing," it was never recorded in the first place and thus can't be produced in an abuse lawsuit. An utter shitshow:

If a non-citizen neighbor gets kidnapped by ICE, you supposedly have about 4-5 hours to file a habeas petition in Minnesota to prevent ICE from shipping people to Texas. They are moving people that quickly regardless of whether or not they have legal status.

2. ICE is buying your private location data from sleazy data brokers through a legal loophole. I've had a bill to stop this since 2021. I'm renewing my push to get it passed into black letter law as soon as possible.
