To summarize. According to Lizza, Nuzzi, in addition to fucking multiple subjects without disclosure:

1) outed a confidential source
2) fed source information to RFK
3) damaged other people’s reputation through anonymous posts on Reddit
4) advised RFK and repeatedly acted on his behalf
this was bad before, but these are the most troubling and serious allegations you can make about a journalist. if they’re true, i genuinely can’t think of a worse scandal in the history of political journalism. devastating to our industry, to public trust as a whole, and to everyone in its orbit

Patent challenges at USPTO aren’t perfect, but they’re a realistic way to fight junk patents. USPTO is trying to take that option away. Submit a public comment while you still can.

The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) has proposed new rules that would effectively end the public’s ability to challenge improperly granted patents at the Patent Office itself. We need EFF sup...

Lots of people sharing this clip because it's funny and cathartic but I also genuinely believe it's important.

We have to win the narrative battle between "I live in a corrupt society and that's just how it is" and "I live in a corrupt society and we are going to defeat and humiliate these ghouls."

Atlas Shrugged is a work of fiction.

Its author, Ayn Rand, died collecting Social Security and Medicare, which a social worker helped her sign up for.

In real life, when Atlas shrugs, innocent people die.

Any sequel to Highlander. It would be cool if they made a movie sequel, but they _didn't_
What’s a film you’ve never seen because it doesn’t exist? I’ll start: “The Unwound Watch” (1991).

As @gregsargent.bsky.social points out, Trump *has* given illegal orders.

But he’s also so allergic to democratic ideals that the very idea of a military (or any other institution) that serves the people rather than the ruler is totally illegible and incomprehensible to him.

The first official confirmation that Noem herself made the decision not to turn the planes around. A couple hundred men were tortured as a result — and soon after, the Supreme Court confirmed that the Trump admin’s Alien Enemies Act process was a total violation of due process.
BREAKING:

“After receiving that legal advice, Secretary Noem directed that the AEA detainees who had been removed from the United States before the Court’s order could be transferred to the custody of El Salvador. “

I hope folks realize that between Trump, Kushner, Hegseth, Witkoff, Noem, RFK, Jr., Kash Patel, and Tulsi Gabbard, this country is almost entirely undefended.
Q: Have you heard this audio that Bloomberg has of Witkoff coaching the Russians on how to appeal to you?

TRUMP: That's a standard thing. He's gotta sell this to Ukraine, he's gonna sell Ukraine to Russia. That's what a dealmaker does. I haven't heard it but I heard it was standard negotiation.

The women drawn to RFK Jr. see an intoxicating cocktail of romance and danger—whether it's getting attacked by a yak or texting about taking metaphorical bullets for each other.

But to most others, Kennedy is a reckless conspiracy theorist whose appetite for danger will result in a sicker America.

In a few years, I would force Amazon to make the sequel series to The Exapnse, give all the actors a bit more time to age into their characters a bit.
