i thought if i just kept busy the grief of losing my two best friends wouldn’t consume me. but i think i do need some supports.

not sure what i am looking for, but probably a grief group where it’s ok to be really sad and cry.

resources are appreciated. 🤍🤍

Never hurts to ask: anyone looking to unburden themselves of a ticket to Aimee Mann/Ted Leo/Josh Gondelman/Paul F Tompkins at the Fitzgerald tonight?
Is so cold—surely you’d rather stay home, all warm and cozy?

I’m at Albi Kitchen on Nicollet and they could definitely use more support these days. We need to work hard to keep our Somali-owned businesses afloat while the community is being targeted.

we did this today, the coldest day of the year. it was great and easy and they’re so organized that even though some volunteers couldn’t make it in to pack up before we got there it was still painless

once we got going it was SO QUICK! we could have done two routes tbh

11/10 would do again
so we signed up to do CANMN deliveries saturday.

but is there an org that will align
drivers with individuals/households that want someone to pickup specific items or online orders so folks can have autonomy & access to foods that they many not have on the pantry shelves?

@supplydepotmpls.bsky.social Hi! Wanted to let you know we dropped off a donation at b.resale that includes some blankets and some boots, amongst other things.
Just passing along info in case you need them tonight-don't know how the lines of communication or pick ups work and all that. Thanks!

Aisha Chughta, budget chair: The controller's office pointed out that the $20 million overspend in MPD was something the city knew at the beginning of the year, "but nobody up here was planning for such an overage and its impact on the bigger picture. This is about bringing line of sight."
City Council passing policy to reassert budget control in our wild strong mayor times.

-Mayor's admin must spend council dedicated funds on the specified purpose or report back on why they can't. Reallocation requires council approval
-Timely reporting on overspending, which we call the MPD rule
