This is pure genius and a different kind of protest than No Kings. Both are impactful in different ways. No need to try to devalue one in order to lift the other. That's unnecessarily divisive.

Home Depot gives millions to trump and maga. This is a protest and civil disobedience in the age of late stage capitalism. This hurts them more than a street protest

Nice to see 7 or so respirators in this vid, though in light of the 📈 flu, RSV, norovirus, & COVID cases & that many of these un😷d peeps will get with family for Thanksgiving right when hitting peak transmissibility, they should all be 😷 in N95+.

& please don’t get right in the face of those in 😷🤦‍♀️
In Monrovia, California, protesters are purchasing 17¢ ICE scrapers from Home Depot and immediately returning them to create long lines and slow down the entire store. Their aim is to disrupt sales and convey a message opposing ICE raids occurring in their neighborhood.

Adding to this CO2 monitoring tech, the perfect venue would include whisper-quiet PC fan #CRboxes spread throughout the facility because the MERV-8s will do virtually nothing to remove PM2.5s from the indoor air.
Here is a great DIY #CRbox

In the first year of #LongCOVID, I was so desperate that I took cold showers twice a day during a #Yukon winter.

It brought a measure of respite from some of my dysautonomic symptoms -

You can lower the risk of developing long COVID by avoiding infection (e.g. by wearing a close-fitting mask), taking antivirals promptly if you do catch it, avoiding strenuous exercise during such infections, & ensure you are up to date with you COVID vaccines and boosters.

Every infection of Covid-19 results in irreparable harm. The only way to be safe during the ongoing pandemic of Covid-19 is to wear a respirator mask in all situations of potential contagion.

Wearing a mask "if you have symptoms" is daft advice. Someone should tell UK health officials that #COVID spreads asymptomatically in over 40% of cases. This was already known in 2020.

Symptoms or not, it's best to #maskup in public indoor spaces.

UK health officials urge extra precautions, including wearing a mask if you have symptoms, as 4 winter viruses spread: RSV, Flu, COVID and Norovirus.

I have been alone in isolation nearly 6 years, sick w long Covid. My house hasn’t been cleaned. There was a rat infestation in 2021

Many days I can’t walk or talk

Cant use my walker on the stairs

Need a wheelchair

Oven is broken for 3 yrs

No one cares

It’s brutal

There is no help
“If it’s that bad, you would have help!”

Help doesn’t magically arrive when you become disabled.

You’re not assigned a caregiver or given more money based on severity.

Many need more help than they’re getting.

If you’re struggling tonight, know you’re not alone.

Many of us are with you.

Reported illnesses have tripled in some school districts. Some say mental health is a factor https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/school-absences-illness-mental-health-9.6988661

long covid is now the most common chronic illness in US children. i doubt canada (who also does shitall to mitigate transmission) is far behind
There is no such thing as an intelligent report on increasing school absences due to chronic illness and mental health issues that does not lead with a discussion of the out-of-control virus that causes chronic illness and mental health issues.

@cbcnews.ca has seriously weird biases about COVID. 🙄

The whole “we have vaccines now” doesn’t apply in NZ since we don’t vaccinate kids under 5 for Covid and the friends I’m referring to all have kids under 5. Anyway I’m tired of clashing with them.
