Guilty Until Proven Innocent: Indie Game Suffers After Fraudulent DMCA Takedown
We here at Techdirt have longed complained about the DMCA takedown process being wide open for all kinds of fraud and abuse. At one point years ago, Google reported that nearly 100% of the takedown requests it receives are not the sort of targeted takedowns the creators of the DMCA imagined, but rather more of a carpet-bomb approach. Examples of this sort of thing abound, with much of them comprised of companies not taking the process seriously and making all kinds of errors or accusations as a result of not doing their due diligence.

Still just a trickle of US soyabeans to China despite trade deal
The US-China trade deal was announced with much fanfare on November 1, including a promise of normalised soyabean flows. Over a month later, US soyabean sales to China remain limited and cargo loadings are just beginning

No, this is wrong, stop reposting this absurd and miscalculated meme.

It assumes Cratchit is working a 40 hour work week (he isn't) and that straight line inflation extrapolations over centuries are valid (they're not) and fails to understand both Victorian class and household finance.

The White House surely wants to see one of these ICE crackdowns lead to violent pushback. They've got untrained unqualified goons acting with impunity. It seems deliberately designed to provoke an incident.

But do the goons get this? Do they know the big plan is to get a couple of them killed?
Susan Tincher, a 55-year-old American citizen, said agents told her in the truck that if she didn’t watch herself “they were going to pull me over to the side of the road and give me this OC,” law enforcement shorthand for pepper spray.

ebikes, especially class 1, are only marginally more dangerous than regular bikes, but greatly increases mobility. this legislation would treat them the same as cars, which are exponentially more dangerous.
New Jersey Bike Walk Coalition is opposing the disastrous legislation advanced by statehouse Democrats, which would require all e-bikes, even Class I e-bikes that are limited to 20 mph, to be regulated the same as motorbikes, with license, registration, and insurance. www.nj.com/news/2025/12...
