If nothing else democrats should be bringing impeachment proceedings against the entire administration. Literally make it impossible to get other legislation done without impeachment proceedings being tied to them. Poison the process shut down Congress until they break.

People lost their livelihoods for making anodyne comments in the wake of his death. Now teens are making memes about him and his death on TikTok. Google searches spiked and have now flatlined. Texas is trying to create a Hitler Youth league in his honor. We'll wait to see if Texans will fight back.

I would be soooo interested in reading a long essay by Ta-nehisi Coates or Eve Ewing about what happened on the way to Kirk's attempted canonization. To me this was one of the most interesting things of the year on multiple levels. It's rich text starting with calling his killing an "assassination."

There's a post over on Twitter that I've been laughing to myself about. Some right-wing guy is celebrating that a school took down "All-Gender" bathroom signs and replaced them with "Single Occupancy Restroom" signs. And like... it's the same thing, man. You're celebrating a pointless relabeling.
