It might be worth following if only because TiO2 is a critical excipient for a lot of tablet coatings used in the US as well. Maybe I'm wrong, but I think if they wanted to pick a bone with it in sunscreens, they may also do so for tablets, which could have a big impact on stability for some

A firm run by a former Republican elections official has bought Dominion Voting Systems and “vowed to follow the executive order Trump signed last spring seeking sweeping changes to election policies that multiple judges have put on hold for violating the Constitution”—what could go wrong?

Have people read this? Because this reads like a plan to do something also horrific!

FWIW, check out the recent post I made about it. Like yeah, I still think a lot of the people posting it are not in good faith, but there's a video of him circulating talking about training his dog with a shock collar which I watched, and unless he misspoke for some reason, it's pretty damning.
sophiaflorence.bsky.social
Also like even before the Biden admin designated that, plenty of us were talking about how nihilism was a massive cause of horrific violence. I like Ken, but I am a little worried about how things are shaping up with him in this space.

And considering the people who started posting about this are contrarian dickbags, I treated it as less credible. I'm always going to do that as well. Doesn't mean I won't be convinced by the evidence, but it does mean there are some people I won't take just at their word.
sophiaflorence.bsky.social
Okay so, re: the whole shock collar thing, I'm not sure what to say about this video. Like I jumped to Hasan's defense because I didn't see anything proven about people's assertion, but...well...maybe I'm wrong!
sophiaflorence.bsky.social
I hadn't seen this before. I'll reshare it. I'm not afraid to admit when I'm wrong, but I don't like to jump on making accusations when I can't get the full picture of something.

Cis people aren't angry enough about the conversion therapy case for my taste.

They'll legalize it, and then States will pass laws requiring it, and that will be how they try to exterminate us.

U.S. District Judge April Perry says it comes down to a "credibility determination."

"I simply cannot credit [the Trump administration's] declarations to the extent they contradict state and local law enforcement. … DHS' perception of events are simply unreliable."

#BREAKING A federal judge say she will grant "in part" a request by the state of Illinois for a temporary restraining order against the deployment of National Guard troops into the state.

U.S. District Judge April Perry is still ruling and has not outlined the details of her order.

This is absolutely insane. I feel like something that leaves a radioactive plume over Indonesia should probably be one of those things that we heard about a month and a half or whatever it was ago when this first happened

little did i know it would lead me to an underreported industrial accident that may have released an airborne plume of radioactive debris over swaths of indonesia

seriously. horror fans are as nitpicky as they are loyal to the genre. whenever AI is found in a horror movie, they notice. and by they I mean we.

"The consumers won't care if it's AI."

Ah yes, horror fans -- y'know, the people who famously ask "Are the FX Practical?!" about literally every movie -- definitely won't care that you're feeding them prompt-generated slop. Good call there.
