no, you're wrong. using one of these books is infinitely preferable to someone using nothing but a reused password 9,000 times. they're especially good for older people who don't go out much. if your book is at risk in your home, you have bigger problems than "they're going to steal my amazon login"

Thinking about how bsky has the most horrible setting turned on by default that says "i don't want to see any other languages except English" and if no one tells you to put it on "no selection" you straight up won't see posts from people set to different languages on your TL.
And if you feel like it's getting worse, yes, it is. Non US traffic here is minimal. And criticising it, you get "skill issue" or "it's not an echo chamber!"

This is super important. Folks who are organizing in Mpls (and everywhere else!) need to practice good opsec and good public comms. There are resources available to learn this stuff!
If you don’t know someone or can’t vet them through mutual connections, don’t talk to them.
Every day some story breaks me some. Today it’s the guy who approached parents at a school patrol, told them he was with Indivisible, and asked about how the patrol system works. The parents gave vague answers, followed him back to his car — and of course it was ICE.
