Might be superfluous but the "to be trans" really bothers me. My goal is not "to be trans". I am not trying to "be trans". I am aligning myself with the way I need to be and "trans" is the word for people who have the kind of need I have, a need we all have the right to pursue however we need to.
"you don't need hormones to be trans" does not comfort any trans person who has been denied access to hormones and only serves to speak over their needs and frame them as responsible for wanting to be comfortable in their own bodies

one of my favorite parts of transition, specifically transitioning into a tomboy lesbian, is how a bunch of Guy Stuff that always made me feel weirdly uncomfortable and awkward is suddenly gender affirming as hell because now it's Dyke Stuff when i do it lol
