yeah this and the rule of three being "ways to spot AI" bother the hell out of me. The reason AI uses them a lot is because they're effective writing tools and real writers use them a lot, and the AI is just copying our work.
The em dash is HIGH LITERATURE. I am aghast at them coming for the em dash as an AI giveaway. Pry it from poets & fiction writers who write sentence-long paragraphs' dead hands!

I am anti-"AI" but not anti-technology. Tech and science advances have vastly improved our lives. But at some point, technology stopped being a thing that exists to serve humans. It is now humans who must serve technology (and profit). I wish there was some way to turn back the clock just that much.

Using AI is basically crossing a digital picket line, and treating authors who use it like scabs feels appropriate.
If you care about your rights and the rights of other creatives, you don't use generative AI under any circumstances (marketing, editing, drafting, outlining, artwork, narration, etc.)

I’m sharing a Palestinian account every day and today is Waffa. Waffa is the mother of 8. Her 17 year old son Nasrallah was killed by the IDF and her oldest son Sami has been captured. She has been taking care of her other children and grandchildren including Halla and Nour who are in wheelchairs.
