When I say I hate Oasis, it's not the mediocre, derivative, puke-on-the-pavement dressed as breakfast, cut'n'paste music and inane lyrics which annoy me, it's the laddism, toxic masculinity dressed in fake working class clothes.
O' Hagan piece on Oasis in the new NYRB an acquiescent revisionist special pleading justification for a certain kind of benign softcore laddism. I think half those bucket hat Dadlads will vote Reform at the next election and don't effing kid yourself otherwise.
