Done some studies getting into new techniques and materials for armour and its going pretty great.

A monochromatic study of a knight (or reenactor) in full armour with an open visored helmet, high gorget, and plenty of reflections in the metal.

A low contrast value study of a man-at-arms (reenactor) looking perhaps sceptically off to the side. He has an open visor and gorget, with some chainmail seen beside the breastplate.

Made this in krita to see what hotkeys and stuff needed changing but literally the only thing i prefer in krita over photoshop is that the brush engine is explicitly made for painting so you can get cool impasto effects like this. its still too miserably cumbersome to daily drive though.
