Since learning I'm autistic I have slowly opened up to family and friends/coworkers.
Even with family, only my parents and a couple of my cousins know. I would be more up front but you never know who's going to be cool or who's going to be a weirdo about it.

I want to live in a world where even if there's a "cause" of autism found, the answer would be "so?" But we don't live in that world, and that includes people on all parts of the political spectrum.
