One of the talking points I keep seeing from Democrats is that part of the deal is that it will "ensure federal workers receive back pay" but that's the existing law!
That's not something you've won in negotiations. That's just the letter of the law. You don't get to claim that as a win.

Been at a wedding in VA this weekend and talked to a lot of east coasters. They love Gavin Newsom and hope he runs in '28. What they love is his willingness to fight fire with fire loudly, so anyone who wants (or wants to be) a different Dem nominee should take note and act accordingly.

I’ve come to believe that we need to gather considerable forces and a campaign to demand the removal of face masks by ICE, Border Patrol, FBI and police.

I think millennials and gen Z do have it harder than Boomers in a lot of ways, but Nikki Haley's kid is not remotely a victim of that trend.

People wildly overestimate the economic security experienced by past generations. There's no period in American history where significant numbers of young people were just handed high paying jobs. Nostalgia for a time that never existed is a huge problem.
