"FURY as asylum seekers are shown being happy"
There is so much messed up about this front page Express story today.

There's no suggestion or evidence ANY alcohol or drugs was consumed. This is literally just people dancing.

And buried in the piece: "The footage is believed to have been filmed just before Labour took power in July last year."

Nearly every panel I spoke on this year ended with the same question: "What gives you hope?"

My friends, that question expired years ago. (If you need receipts, my book Saving Us is literally a 300-page answer.)

The real question is: How are you PRACTICING hope?

Because Greta is right ..

Labour’s utterly sickening lurch to the far right continues apace.
Hey the Nazis did this to my grandparents so this sounds cool @teamlabouruk.bsky.social
The Sun has been told Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood will on Monday propose confiscating jewellery, watches, necklaces from asylum seekers to meet asylum costs

This reflects the most controversial aspect of the Danish scheme - the Jewellery Law. The toughest Labour MPs thought this was OTT

It’s fun to watch the Royals turn on each other, but are we really supposed to believe “Prince” is an honorable or meaningful title to have in 2025?

This surely just shows how absurd the whole thing is.

Unsurprisingly.

Trans people aren’t the only ones.
We commissioned @yougov.co.uk to poll trans people on how they feel about parties, institutions and the UK.

A striking 91% of trans people distrust the Labour Party. goodlaw.social/wcsv

This is the world the transphobes are creating "to protect women."

RIP Marie. share.google/PFaI5YTh9tBw...

Re: Labour… am I in an alternate universe, or does anyone else not recognise this “tolerance” Labour are supposed to be trying to project?
Dividing lines in British political competition becoming clearer in how they're trying to counter Reform.

For Labour, tolerance, delivery. For Conservatives, hard-right on 'culture' and fiscal prudence on econ. Latter probably the one thing Conservatives still thought to represent, in party image.

If this really is the government's view, it suggests their grasp of the notion of a "fundamental freedom" is tenuous at best.

The last thing we need is even further growth of the state's already very broad powers to restrict freedom of speech and assembly.

VICTORY: citing "lack of evidence", prosecutors have dropped the trial against the Drax 15. They never had a case, but they kept defendants waiting for a year to somehow justify an astonishing £3 million police operation. This is yet another example of the repression of protest rights in Britain
