notice the general mood of the timeline? how everyone is in a good mood and there’s a lot less misery and dooming? how there’s a lot of “we’re going to beat these assholes”?

anyway that’s why these events are important
Your husband was both right and wrong
I'll be real with you, if my plan was to try and appeal to the emotions of the average liberal minded American (laudatory) I would absolutely go to the Declaration and Andor
This is terrible because the law should matter and corruption is extremely bad.

It is also kind of fitting that yet again George Santos has returned like we just found out he has a second health bar

"You're the greatest nation on earth" -- She Guevara

Thank you, ma'am, it's an honor to be recognized in this way
American reading comprehension is fuxking abysmal. I genuinely can't believe you think you're the greatest nation on Earth.
This is a good post and it deserves greater recognition
If you can't prevail over competing factions in your party you sure as fuck won't prevail over people outside the party who hate you a lot more
Unfortunately, a popular front does sometimes include tedious elitists with the least relatable problems on planet Earth
And all built within like, 4 years
Some years ago I visited right at opening and for, maybe 4-5 seconds I was the only person in the nave and it was the most surreal and awe inspiring thing I've ever felt

Someone in the crowd: “Go Cubs!”

Pope Leo XIV: “Han perdido! They lost!”
Circling by her peers in the industry that resembles nothing so much as Republicans saying that the *real* Signalgate was people noticing the breach and being mean about it
This kind of jiu-jitsu that some journalists have done around the Nuzzi thing is so exhausting. Having an affair with someone is morally wrong but most people aren't going to do more than cluck about it. People are mad because it's such a gross violation of basic ethics that has led to a wagon
Everyone in my feed is shitting on Nuzzi. Meanwhile, the other person in the saga is now destroying the medical community and endangering public health.

But let’s slut shame Nuzzi.
Scoop: Olivia Nuzzi has written a book during her year in exile, in which she is set to in part address her relationship with RFK Jr. Details in @status.news: www.status.news/p/olivia-nuz...
It only tracks if you believe in uniparty nonsense, which is disqualifyingly stupid
Unfortunately, she can still get to you there

Me playing Fire Emblem in the living room when a friend walks in:

I swear to God it's a tactics game
Right? "They're just virtue signaling" has always fallen flat for me because like, good? I want people to feel compelled to perform virtue. I couldn't give a fuck about their heart of hearts
Despite not having been Catholic in a long time it is so deep in the firmware of my brain that I can't help but be moved

It’s all happening on x dot com where I do my banking
Yeah obviously the Average Catholic is going to take specific parts of doctrine more seriously or less depending on the topic but um, the trans-substantiation of the Eucharist is a big deal and not open to debate
These posts also always seem to act as though everyone knew at the time when the war would end and on what terms. Obviously you can look back and be like "x and y thing probably meant the nail was in the coffin" but it's almost never that clear in the moment
I have no idea how they managed to fold that into TERF nonsense but yes same re: the worst thing I've ever read about that wasn't part of like, a campaign of genocide. And again, learning about it did absolutely nothing to edify me. I didn't need to be convinced that people were capable of horrors
Yup which like, I enjoy and I think it's good for me to be in occasional friendly contact with people I wouldn't hang out with but that cost-benefit will be different for everyone
