Who knows anymore?
Really pleased Amazon have decided to release Fallout episodes weekly but starting it now and having episodes 2 and 3 on Christmas and New Years eve is dumb. Now rather then watching it I may as well wait until new year and try to catch up.

It was great to see so many people at Tokyo Godfathers and enjoying the music from Otley Brass Band last night.

Our pay-what-you-feel membership is now open for 2026 and becoming a Friend is a great way to support the Picture House and help us put on more events.

Again and again, the optimal position when legally threatened by Trump is to be resolute in defence and prepare for court.

You will likely not then have to go to court, as he will fold or settle.

But if you seek to settle from the off, he has got you and he will crush you.
Everyone should stand up to this bully.

I'm not sure I've ever seen anything with a larger disconnect between the executive class and the general public than AI - there have been cases where executives want to push something they know is unpopular, but on AI it's like the backlash hasn't penetrated their bubble at all
What gets me about executives at movie/videogame studios being taken aback at consumer backlash to AI is that they seem genuinely surprised that we like the human beings that make the things that we like

More on the Mango Mussolini sueing the BBC for a hundred trillion billion zillion dollars, apparently the White House Chief Press Officer has called the BBC "100% fake news."
That is an actual lie, as Armando Iannucci suggested the BBC should counter sue trumpy pants for 100 quintillion dollars

Reminded of when, during lockdown, the Princess Bride became an actual folk tale, to be retold, lovingly.

Warning: that ending might choke you up a bit.

Two babies were born in New York within a year of each other, soon after WWII.

One, Rob Reiner, lived a life of humanity and achievement. He brought us delight and joy. His memory will be a blessing.

The other, Donald Trump, will be remembered as an embarrassment to our nation.

Rob Reiner either made your favorite movie, or made somebody you know’s favorite movie. If you’re a Californian, he’s also part of the reason you or your friends can get married. He has changed more lives for the better than this asshole commenting on him ever did.

The man is deranged. And I use the term man loosely because he's really just a blob of skin and bones.
this is one of the most psychotic things Trump has ever posted

The cultural impact of Rob Reiner cannot be understated. Legend isn't big enough a word. It goes to 11. You can't handle the truth. As you wish. I'll have what she's having. I'm your number one fan. You guys wanna see a dead body? The very idea of a bucket list. The West Wing.

All from his movies.

Rob Reiner: I'm going to make a coming of age drama, a fantasy adventure story, a romantic comedy, a psychological horror and then a courtroom drama.

Us: Across your entire career?

Reiner: In a 6 year period.

Us: That sounds-

Reiner: -Each one will be arguably the best movie in that genre.

For the record, Robin Ince is a superb comedian, an absolute mensch, a remarkable thinker and the kindest human you’ll ever meet. And the BBC is a genuinely great and globally unique institution that needs to stop being afraid. I think that’s where most of its faults and issues stem from.
