Just another transit bro
Conservative leadership is something that sounds good to some people in theory but has never worked in the United States, in my lifetime, in practice.
Weird. I tried to warn libertarians about Trump

If you’re going to take the time to appreciate the ugliness, and you should, you should also take the time to appreciate the beauty.
Culture of life: sitting on a fairly pleasant street in the sun, reading* with a fancy Ugandan coffee because godh darn it the nightmares happen whether or not you get a little treat every so often

I see life as a shared gift, received from others and passed on to others, living and dying as one process, in which lies both our suffering and our reward. Without mortality to purchase it, how can we have the consciousness of eternity? I think the price is worth paying.

What if revive I-5 is actually a plot to make Seattle more socialist by forcing us to ride public transit more and be around other types of people we might not regularly be and maybe even develop some empathy. @wsdot.wa.gov

Anti-constitution forces
We need to stop saying “law enforcement.” Any facade that that’s what any of these guys are doing, whether feds, sheriffs, or police has crumbled.
“A Law enforcement member holds a weapon as they stand guard while people protest outside the Bishop Henry Whipple Federal Building, after the fatal shootings of Renee Nicole Good and Alex Pretti by federal immigration agents, in Minneapolis, Minnesota.”

The Homan League

As Donald the Dove sends only human Homan to synthesize peace in Minnesota, Greg Bovino is left asking don't you want me baby? Honestly, a waitress in a cocktail bar could do a better job than either of these clowns.

I do think that a possibly underrated dynamic in The Horrors is that the Right as it has reconstituted itself under Trump legitimately can’t understand sincere moral or physical courage

Leaders who refuse to lead are saboteurs. Saw the same thing under Biden. Status quo or bust.
NEWS: While Hakeem Jeffries has announced he's opposing the DHS/ICE funding bill tomorrow, his team is not whipping the vote. Several frontliners are expected to vote yes. There's a difference in leadership between personal vote decisions & unifying the caucus.

Jeffries Won’t Whip Vote Against ICE Funding - The American Prospect
While the House Democratic leader announced personal opposition to a funding bill for the Department of Homeland Security, he won’t pressure his colleagues to do the same.

Seattle traffic is wild these days and it’s all due to our massive, expensive bridge repair between north and central Seattle. Everyone who ever advocated for bike/bus lanes and light rail was 100% correct. You could clog those spaces with cars and it wouldn’t help any of this.

Guys, we have to pay twice the amount of taxes we otherwise might so that we can be “protected” by a bunch of Uvalde cops who are too scared to do their jobs.
"The question that you're basically asking is, can our cops arrest them? From a legal perspective, yes. From a practical perspective...they have bigger guns than we do." That's where we're at.

ICE detain father shopping on Christmas Eve—then steal his family's groceries.

Then 3 agents divvy up his paid for food—taking what they want for themselves.

"Can I just get the wife's number to call and let her know?" woman asks.

"No, guess he should've complied," agent says.

Shopping pro-tip: a lot of the time, you can go right to a company’s own website and get a product for the same price as Amazon, often with free shipping. Every penny you keep out of Bezos’ pocket is a victory.

You need to understand that the reason Weiss was hired at CBS was because it was already dead.
“Commercial breaks were largely filled with spots from direct-response advertisers, including the dietary supplement SuperBeets.

“Viewers of of the telecast on WCBS, the CBS flagship in New York, saw a commercial for Chia Pet, the terra-cotta figure that sprouts plant life after a few weeks.”
Major advertisers appeared to sit out a new CBS News town hall telecast Saturday, moderated by Bari Weiss and featuring an interview with Erika Kirk.

Lack of Madison Avenue support could challenge the viability of the format, which Weiss wants to expand
