I'm not saying I have confidence Mamdani is gonna be a gamechanger. Maybe, maybe not, but symbols are important, and he is that much. Bernie and AOC once were too, and we know how that turned out. It's enough to scare the shit out of rich people for now, and that's fear that radicals can seize on.

The more rich people and politicians get scared, the more you know we're on track. They've been on a free ride for decades, and that ride depends on corporate welfare, poor wages, inadequate PTO, price gouging, lobbyists, and market manipulation. It's literally why 40 million people are on SNAP.

Fear is the key. No one is afraid of No Kings or Chuck Schumer. They're afraid of anarchists, socialists, and Zohran Mamdani because these things inherently threaten hegemony, and directly threaten it by taking action. A threat doesn't necessarily mean violence, but it does require confrontation.
