So when reading the New Yorker profile on Kash Patel, the biggest surprise for me was learning he has a law degree. I was gobsmacked he went to college, let alone that he had completed law school and passed the bar in at least one state...

I don't know, early counts of mail in ballots and early voters is a fine way to declare winners & then scream about scams/fraudulent elections when everything actually gets counted & our favored candidate loses. Have I seen this somewhere before??

Unfortunately, our reactive solutions dependent on mutual aid, religious orgs, charity & local efforts reinforces the GOP agenda to destroy federal govn't & national standards for education, healthcare, food assistance, housing, product safety etc. This loss of trust will not be easy to repair.

I get that these super rich dudes don't pump their own gas, or care about what these everyday things cost for their fellow Americans. But regardless of who buys your bananas or pumps your gas, surely he has a smart phone and could look up the price of gas before spouting off absolute nonsense...

It's just wild. Students have a right to free speech & religious beliefs, but that does not obligate faculty to give them an A when they use incorrect information & illogical claims to complete assignments. This is the stuff that parents used to destroy US K-12 education. Universities are next.

What, only 3 years? What happens in years 4 and 5 and 6? Is Northwestern then free to compete for federal research & development funds based on merit alone? Or will Northwestern payments then go straight to the Trump library/foundation, instead of the federal government?

SCOOP—In August, nearly 200 current/former FEMA staffers published the Katrina Declaration, a whistleblower letter detailing all the dangers posed by current leadership.

All current employees were put on indefinite leave, and now I've learned one has been fired in violation of federal protections:

DOGE was not a money-saving effort. It was an effort to chase down and prove right-wing conspiracy theories. They went after USAID to prove conspiracy theories about foreign aid. Then they went after SSA to, again, pursue conspiracy theories about Dems paying "illegals" to vote. 1/2
