On Thanksgiving, the immigrant children held at the Dilley detention center gathered in the gym for what they thought was a holiday feast.

The kids salivated over a spread of turkey, sandwiches, pastries and pies, a family told me.

But the food wasn’t for detainees — it was for the staff.
On Nov. 16, a mental health counselor recorded in Kamilla’s medical records that her mother reported the girl had lost her appetite after being “served food that contained worms.” A week later, the couple said, children were told to gather in the gym for what they believed would be a Thanksgiving celebration. Excitement spread as families saw tables set with turkey, sandwiches, pastries and pies, they said. The children waited expectantly. But when a parent asked when the celebration would begin, Oksana said, staff told them the holiday meal was for employees, not detainees. The children, she said, watched despondently as the feast was packed away.

DHS is shutting down because it refuses to obey the law. They are tear-gassing schools, killing American citizens, and disappearing legal immigrants. Democrats shouldn’t fund an out of control ICE.

Apparently one can take large bottles of water through security, if one works at the airport. I get that TSA is mostly theater, but what are we even doing? If only we had some data on disgruntled employees in the US taking violent action in the workplace or likelihood of bribing a low wage worker

US sports media celebrating Lindsey Vonn skiing with a torn ACL reveals so much about what is wrong with American sports culture. Competing with an injury does not make one a hero - it's dangerous & unnecessary. Surely the US has other talented, healthy skiers eager to compete at an Olympics

Their entourage includes a fleet of 14 aircraft and a motorcade of 100 vehicles navigating tightly secured streets. Eleven of the planes are carrying his delegation, staff, former athletes, and security personnel, while one aircraft is dedicated solely to food supplies. Two additional planes transported armored vehicles across the Atlantic.

I used to think AI had no business in academic peer-review journals. But now that I'm regularly seeing manuscript reviews focused primarily on copy edits & editorial decisions based on tallying reviewer votes rather than thoughtful assessment, I'm starting to see an obvious role for AI

This is spot on! Mayors & Councils around Arizona work tirelessly to prevent homeless shelters, social services providers, abortion clinics etc from prime locations, but somehow missed the $70M DHS purchase of a building for the purpose of storing & abusing humans

Residents are chiding the council and mayor for saying they had no idea this facility was being bought by DHS. “It was your job to know,” said a speaker who called the council “failures.” Another said they wouldn’t be making these “we can’t do anything” excuses if it was a proposed homeless shelter.

Sale of a $70M storage facility (next to a high school) to DHS to be used as an internment facility is trying major push back from the town. Earlier this wk the mayor said he knew nothing about it.

Surprise is NOT a liberal place in Arizona. This level of protest in normie AZ is incredible!

It’s hard to put into perspective how truly massive the warehouse is that was recently sold by the Rockefeller Group to the Department of Homeland Security for $70 million to build a concentration camp in Surprise, AZ. Across the street is a huge neighborhood and a school. It’s 400,000-square-feet.

42% of women leave US workforce b/c no childcare...meanwhile in Denmark policies relieve most women of motherhood penalties. If their vaccine policies are good enough for us, maybe Danish parental leave & healthcare policies should also guide the US

Key point of the Danish vaccine regime is universal healthcare & childcare + fully digitized government + high trust society. If a Dane gets measles, potential spread is mitigated immediately by an entire system designed to keep EVERYONE healthy & safe. DENMARK IS NOT A MODEL FOR THE US!!!

DHS said that the woman CBP shot in the chest in Portland was “involved” in a gang shooting.

Her ~involvement~ was that suspected gang members sexually assaulted and robbed her.

After Border Patrol shot two people in Portland, DHS claimed they were "vicious gang members" tied to a past shooting.

89 million Americans, around 36% of the voting-eligible population, did not vote in the 2024 general election.

An election strategy based on importing immigrants to illegally vote is asinine - one only needs to activate a few lazy, apathetic Americans to shift election outcomes.
