If you speak French, Quebec has a separate immigration system.
So this is what I mean when I say immigration to Canada is not easy. I took the assessment for their point system. I have a PhD, I have been employed full time my entire life, and I do not qualify for the skilled worker thing. I am not eligible for ANY of its immigration programs

stuff like this is a huge part of AI frustration for me. what was wrong with Google maps? is having a computer say "turn left at the big tree" so valuable that you'd rather kill the planet to ask ChatGPT instead of following the little arrow on your phone? we already have tools to do these things!
So now humans are getting lost/trapped and other humans have to send out search parties to find them because AI doesn't have the capacity to account for sudden trail closures

A while back, I decided that if I ever saw someone and thought "Gosh, I like their [intentional appearance/style/fashion choice]," I would always tell them. One of the best decisions I've ever made.
