I did not in fact set it aside to work on something else. I immediately started editing it. In my defense, I have the flu, so I'm not at work.
And the second draft of The Elite: Weakborn closes out at 38,465 words! Despite far too many setbacks this year, I managed to finish it before the end of the year. I've already got plans for the third draft, but for now, I'm setting it aside, and working on something else for a bit.

Folks, if your library doesn’t have a book you want to read, ask them to buy a copy. Most have a convenient form and will let you know when it comes in. If your library offers ILL, they can even borrow books from other libraries.

never let them convince you that reading is a waste of time or that reading physical books is replaceable. Physical books, zines, etc -- these are spaces where we cannot be monitored, where we can truly be w/our own thoughts for a gd min & make up our own minds. Of course that frightens them

Not satisfied with just destroying their own brand goodwill, OS companies are now using AI to try to destroy the good names of the apps users install. (Scrivener taking out adds to explain how it has no AI but Apple adds some anyway.)

Absolutely agree. I do not care if a handful of people get money they don't need in the process of giving hundreds of thousands of people money they need to stay housed and fed.
Abled folk love to speak over us and assume/tell us that we should be angry at a tiny number of “frauds”.
