the “administrative state” in practice is a lot of very hard working, practically anonymous people doing the thankless work of making this country run and a drug-addled dipshit is slandering them in order to steal our money for himself
not trying to pick on this guy. this just reminded me that the federal government does not provide coffee to workers. to drink coffee at a federal office you generally have to pay into a "coffee club" that is managed by a staffer who volunteers to collect money and purchase a monthly coffee supply.

I find this fascinating. I haven’t talked to anyone personally who has had dreams about him, but I do find it interesting that even my offline Boomer coworkers haven’t managed an obligatory “of course I don’t condone it,” when discussing it. It’s all “understandable.”

You don't have to like this fact, but 10 seconds of violence solved a problem for 11,500 people after 15 years of nonviolent techniques got nowhere. We have to grapple with this.
I’ve dealt with this for 20+ years, thinking it was normal to just be fatigued and low energy because adulting is stressful. Finally it got to the point where it was clearly NOT normal. I could cry over the difference in my energy, sleep and mood with something as simple as a $5 iron supplement.
If something affected ~40% of men & was associated with fatigue, poor sleep, anxiety, depression, decreased cognition, hair loss, and so much more
