They were right all along.

Their societies have held up well under pressure.

This is an excellent question which has worried me too.

Our forests used to be our shield against the overwhelming, mechanised enemy.

But will they now shield the attackers moving on foot and willing to take stupendous casualties?

I don't know. I fear we may find out.
A question. Russia's new way of war means constant artillery-infantry-artillery-infantry attacks aimed at overwhelming the less numerous defenders. In this war, the thick forests on Finland (and Estonia) will help the attacker, bc infantry can hide there. Is there a Finnish reaction to this?

🚨 ‼️ ‼️ ‼️ HOLY MOLY!! The REPO emergency mechanism has reached an all time high in Russia, at 4.7 trillion rubles provided in liquidity!!!!!

If this isn’t a sign of a banking crisis, then it’s a sign of massive government spending and inflation…

Note odd maturity date of 2 weeks due to holidays.

The funniest part is that the whole point of funding the crusades was to send your potential sources of domestic political instability (loud, violent lunatics) off on a mission where, worst case scenario, they were out of your hair for several years or, best case scenario, they died.
Far-right groups are co-opting the aesthetics of the Crusades for their own objectives, transforming an obsession with feudal justice into a campaign for a White Christian nation.
Why We Should All Be Worried About "Crusadercore"
This online trend equips young, White men with a historically bastardized visual lexicon — one that gives new credence and religious authority to far-right bigotry.

This is what Russia is - disgusting.
Deliberately bombing a theatre with a "children" sign in front, murdering hundreds of people inside, literally celebrating on their graves afterwards, and then blaming it on the victims is a typically russian thing to do.

This post desperately requires a community note.

More like "writes down deal by 99,99974531%" 🤣

It’s an unfortunate fact (or seems to be) that messages about immigrants’ demand side land more easily than the supply side.

“Immigrants take houses” works on many voters; “Immigrants build houses” on fewer.

Worse, data showing immigrants create more than they consume seems to have no effect.
