For all the noise about the authenticity of country music & how it represents the "real" America, the truth is that it's as manufactured now as it's ever been, & the fact that country fans have embraced an entirely artifical performer should be no surprise whatsoever.

S'why I listen to prog.
AI country singer Breaking Rust tops Billboard with ‘Walk My Walk’
A country hit made by artificial intelligence has climbed to the top of a Billboard chart — a first for the genre.

I love King's X, & wished they'd been a huge band.

That said, you can have everything: chops, stage presence, a rapidly loyal core following & admiration from your peers, etc...

But without a collection of accessible songs you'll never get a broader audence.

They are hard rock's answer to NRBQ.

If anyone was wondering where Geddy Lee got the idea for the whole doubleneck & bass pedals thing, well Mike Rutherford did it 1st.

This is the modular doubleneck Shergold built for Mike... not only could you swap around guitars & necks, but the electronics were modular, too.

But we do not have a confident BBC.

Ten months ago everything felt steady growth was real, markets weren’t panicking, gas wasn’t jumping every few days. Now those same numbers keep slipping. I’m not trying to blame anyone. It just feels like the progress under President Biden is fading way faster than makes sense.

Indeed. The BBC is in my view one of Britain‘s most important institutions. It is imperfect.
Everything is.
You destroy it at your peril.
If ever there was a time to rally around something very British, it is now.
Just an outsider‘s opinion.
So many social media patriots! Delighting in the hope that the president of a foreign nation might destroy a British institution that is envied around the world! 🇬🇧

A complete lack of awareness and a national embarrassment.
Just some British patriots in Benidorm, taking over a street in Spain to shout in their own language about unwanted foreigners. It’s a blessing that they are too thick to understand irony.
