New— An American citizen boarding flight from Boston to Lisbon just now told me after showing boarding pass, every passenger stopped on jetway by two ICE agents demanding to take their photo. When passenger asked why, ICE threatened to detain them. If they said no photo, couldn't board/TBD detained.

These are DHS agents not MPD according to their uniforms. What federal crime was the dancing fox reasonably suspected of?
Outside of the Bishop Henry Whipple Building in Minneapolis a person dancing in a fox costume is arrested by the MPD. Protests have been consistent outside of this building since the ramped up ICE presence.

ICE has kidnapped so many people from their cars that the city had to put out this statement. Let that sink in.
Vehicles that are abandoned due to an ICE detention and towed to the City's impound lot will be released to their owners or a representative at no cost.

This is surreal. 4 Oglala Lakota men kidnapped by ICE in Minneapolis have finally been located. One of them was released but the other 3 are being held at Fort Snelling, a former concentration camp used to imprison Native people incl. the Dakota 38 during Dakota Wars.

Let’s talk about abolishing ICE.

Very few people who say “abolish ICE” mean “abandon all immigration enforcement.” Rather, they mean “the structure of immigration enforcement is irretrievably broken and needs to be reorganized, just like we did 23 years ago when we created ICE.”

they're shooting us in the face, ted
The First Amendment protects the public’s right to:

1. Film ICE in public

2. Photograph ICE in public

3. Observe what ICE does in public

ICE and DHS officials cannot lay a finger on any American who is peacefully exercising First Amendment rights.

Having seen several abductions up close, it is really hard to convey how much the thing they’re doing is roaming in military convoys until they see someone who is alone and isn’t white, and then jumping out in large numbers, pulling them into a van, and screeching off, all in 90 seconds or so.
"“They specifically asked me if I knew where the Hmong families lived on my street & in the neighborhood.” Lugert-Thom responded, “I don’t know anything about that” & she said they then asked, “Well, what about the Asian families?”"

"“I was a bit shaken & a bit shocked of what I was asked to do.”"
A St. Paul resident says federal officers knocked on her door and asked her to identify Hmong and Asian households in her North End neighborhood last week.

i was just about to point out that i started the new season of taskmaster and this was one of the tasks. the contestants chasing little alex horne around trying to capture a HUGE qr code on his back.

for fucks sake
Like this is non-armed people trying to video the QR code on a non-armed assistant and it’s still pretty difficult, so I wonder what Torres thinks the material reality of getting a QR code photographed when there’s nobody to back you up are.

Stronger measures needed.
Here are some very speedy taskers and also Sanjeev Bhaskar. #taskmaster

Sir? Sir! Please hold still while you're ripping me out of my car and peppery spraying my eyes so I can scan the 2" x 2" QR code you've covered with a piece of tape with the phone you're going to confiscate
I am introducing the Quick Recognition (QR) Act, which requires ICE and CBP officers to wear uniforms featuring QR codes. When scanned, the code would generate a digital ID displaying the officer’s name, badge number, and law enforcement agency.

ICE should be unmasked both physically and digitally.
