that's not how anything works they're lying and destroying evidence hope that helps
And what is happening inside ICE detention centers? 404 Media also learned that the federal government claimed that the day after it was sued for allegedly abusing detainees at an ICE detention center, a “system crash” deleted nearly two weeks of surveillance footage from inside the facility.
ICE Says Critical Evidence In Abuse Case Was Lost In 'System Crash' a Day After It Was Sued
The government also said "we don't have resources" to retain all footage and that plaintiffs could supply "endless hard drives that we could save things to."

A Black man was killed by ICE (off duty) in Los Angeles on New Year’s Eve. And like Renée Good, he was an American citizen. But most people have not heard about Keith Porter.

I need y’all to realize this. Black people experience this lack of visibility all the time when it comes to being victims.

I came to Minneapolis to report on what's going on, and one of the main questions I showed up with is "just what is the scale of the resistance?" After all, we're all used to the news calling Portland a "war zone" or whatever when it's just some protests in one part of town.

I have really come around to this way of thinking in the last 8 years. There is a cruelty and vindictiveness to some people that is not diminished by the carrot approach. In fact, they see the carrot as a sign of weakness.
Gently: I think the sweet little leftist fiction that right-wing politics are the result of epistemic gaps---that you can just newsletter and educate and evangelize your way to leftism---is dead.

Consider: many people want to hurt others. Want to feel superior. Want to inflict pain on the lesser.

MLK was only 39 when he was killed. Growing up, I thought that was old. But I’m 43 now and I’m stunned by the burden he shouldered at such a young age. I’m also a lot more aware of how hard it is, at any age, to carry the hopes and dreams of an oppressed people on your shoulders, as so many do.

Brianna Ghey was targeted by classmates who knew her offline. Online, she made friends and a community, and was making content to help other trans kids like her.

This is a grieving mother pushing for legislation that would have further isolated her trans child, that is supported by transphobes.

1. ICE should not exist. It is a burden morally and financially.

2. QR codes are easily damaged with markers.

3. Many people do not possess a smart phone.

4. ICE will cover codes as police do with badge numbers.

5. QR codes are nearly impossible to scan while in motion.

6. You ain't slick.
I am introducing the Quick Recognition (QR) Act, which requires ICE and CBP officers to wear uniforms featuring QR codes. When scanned, the code would generate a digital ID displaying the officer’s name, badge number, and law enforcement agency.

ICE should be unmasked both physically and digitally.

In Dublin, on Fenian Street, there's a factory that makes child sex abuse material.

You can pay it money, as a subscription, and that's one of the services it offers. This doesn't happen by mistake or because you've tricked or hacked the system.

It’s a feature.

there is no positive route forward for the United States without mass arrests and trials for DHS employees
You and your wife drop your 6-year-old off at school. You just moved here. You see ICE terrorizing your new neighbors. You film them, as is your legal right. Your wife complies with orders. She is then shot in the head. You still have to pick up your child later today.

This could be you.

On the law: we have a law that deals with these images. It has been on the books since 1998.

We didn’t forget to make sexualised imagery of children illegal.

It is the “Child Trafficking and Pornography Act, 1998”.

Section 1, above, defines the illegal imagery.
Section 5 defines the an offence
