The distant future. Earth is a dry husk orbiting a red star. Aliens land to investigate what their sensor scans tell them was once a living planet. There, in the corner of a ruined tower, sits Ryan Lizza. "Oh good," he says, "you're here, now I was saying, Nuzzi was sending RFK Jr. pictures of..."

Steve Bannon reportedly said: 'You raised a kid that slit your throat!' about the late Rob Reiner.

A reminder that not a single prominent Democrat or liberal pundit said anything even vaguely akin to this when Charlie Kirk was murdered.

Oh the hypocrisy.

A crowd at Turning Point USA's AmFest event booed slain Hollywood director Rob Reiner after MAGA influencer Steve Bannon said liberals believed he had a larger impact on culture than Charlie Kirk."Jus...

Spotted a 60-something man on the beach reading Olivia Nuzzi’s “American Canto.” His wife is nearby. She has Mar-a-Lago face and is wearing a trucker hat that says “Sun. Yoga. Champagne.” She’s been watching a live cam feed of her front door on a comically large tablet for the last 20 minutes.

I spoke to a dozen professional concept artists working in games about whether generative AI image tools have made their jobs easier, even if it's just used in "very early ideation stages."

Zero said "yes." Most said it made their job harder.

I learnt a lot about concept artists. You should too!
We spoke to a dozen professional concept artists who are currently or have previously worked in game development about whether generative AI image tools have made their jobs any easier.

Zero said it did. Most said it made things harder.

Concept Artists Say Generative AI References Only Make Their Jobs Harder
“The ‘early ideation stages’, when worlds are being fleshed out by writers and artists, are literally crucial to the development of a game’s vision,” said one artist.

This catches something really important. The risk
is less that this crew changes the regime and more that while trying to do so they cash out the whole thing. Which is one more powerful reason why resistance is patriotic.
The U.S. is giving dying mall vibes.

I can't explain it, but you know I'm right.

The White House claims the vote to rename the Kennedy Center was “unanimous.” That is false. I was muted on the call and denied the opportunity to speak or register my opposition. That is not consensus. That is censorship.

“The speech outlined a plan to protect millions of undocumented immigrants from deportation, which the Washington Post called ‘the most significant presidential intervention to alter the U.S. immigration system in nearly three decades.’”

(That plan was later died when it deadlocked 4-4 in SCOTUS.)
“Instead, NBC ran a rerun of ‘Law & Order’ and CBS aired a rerun of “Young Sheldon.’”

"In 2014, major networks also refused to air a speech by former President Barack Obama about immigration reform, claiming it was too partisan.”
“The networks have declined to air prime time speeches from the last two Democratic presidents, claiming they were too political.” In 2022, broadcast networks declined to air a prime time speech by Joe Biden “where he warned about threats to democracy, deciding the speech would be too ‘political.’”

The networks were afraid not to run Trump because they assumed he would use his office to punish them if they didn’t. The irony is that this is what Biden was warning about, a warning they chose not to share with America.

Designating fentanyl a WMD will worsen fentanyl misinformation, which does not prevent overdoses -it makes them deadlier- & harms anyone who could ever need pain treatment, anesthesia, & more. Patients already refuse one of the safest, best studied, easiest-to-dose pain meds because of such misinfo!
Trump declared fentanyl a weapon of mass destruction. What does it mean?
The declaration of fentanyl a weapon of mass destruction is the latest move by President Donald Trump casting the nation’s deadly drug crisis as a national security issue.

We literally had an impeachment vote that every republican voted against. the fact that these people don't even seem to know about this kinda shows how pointless these votes are.
"Republicans would be willing to remove Trump if only the Democrats would bring impeachment articles forward" is a dumb thing I've seen multiple times that doesn't even begin to make sense. What's stopping these impeachment-curious Republicans!? Are they shy!?

Making the most depressing point I can make yet again: the US media is going to treat Donald Trump with far less vitriol in response to him starting a random war in Venezuela vs the sheer level of vitriol that they hurled at Joe Biden for ENDING the War in Afghanistan.
Every major news organization should be writing about how insane this is and how, if he takes this country to war (tomorrow?), it is the act of a madman.
Trump: "Venezuela is completely surrounded by the largest Armada ever assembled ... It will only get bigger, and the shock to them will be like nothing they have ever seen before — Until such time as they return to the USA all of the Oil, Land, and other Assets that they previously stole from us."
