The name "Popular Science" doesn't mean we shift our coverage depending on public opinion. It means we cover relevant subjects that are rigorously researched, reliable, and grounded in reality.

And trans lives are grounded in reality.

We see y'all. No matter what.

In Super Mario Odyssey, kicking things is Mario's highest priority, overriding all other actions. If a kickable object, such as a football, is thrown at Mario while he is asleep, he will momentarily wake up just to kick it before instantly going back to sleep.

For people in a state that is asking for a prescription, try a CVS MinuteClinic.

Some MinuteClinic’s are getting around restrictions by having nurses on site who will give you a prescription during a visit. They ask to confirm if you are high risk but don’t ask for proof.

A Quebec fisherman who was fishing 15 kilometers north of the US border was essentially kidnapped by US Border Patrol, who capsized his boat and dragged him to an American prison cell.

In any normal time this'd be quite the international incident, y'know?

Vesper sparrows are little birds with big voices. Their song is so sweet - it might be my favourite sparrow song. If you look closely, you can see the rufous shoulder patch that is a key field marking for vesper sparrows (full disclosure, you very often cannot see it 😂) #birds #birdsonfenceposts

i am going to be honest i have no idea what itch is but after reading through this thread i can say this kind of censorship is a huge dang bummer. the idea that erotic art is somehow less valid is a false trot. making space for adult themes is incredibly important
Really hoping to see some bigger names like @chucktingle.bsky.social speaking up about the censorship on Itch, because they might be coming for indies now but once they've had some victories with smaller creators they WILL come for every. Single. Person. Writing queer & erotic art

Censorship is a sinkhole. You are not safe just because it opens up under someone else's house. Porn. LitFic. Black art. Queer art. Band together, because nobody is safe unless everybody is safe.

Look, you determinedly obtuse cantaloupe, don’t slander spell check, first created in 1961, made for PCs in 1980. NO ONE THINKS A SPELL CHECKER IS GEN AI.

Thank you for writing! The setting, the character arcs, the magic, the gorgeous indigenous and decidedly non-colonial point of view…it was such a beautiful journey in a style and voice I am constantly on the hunt for in a world filled with medieval colonial fantasy. Thank you.
