I once again implore you to add the phrase "that sounds like some weird nazi shit" to your vocabulary.
This isn't just a casual observation. Fascism scholars have long made this point. It's why calling them "weird" was a more effective strategy than talking about the prices of eggs. Fascism is an aesthetic political movement - you need to make people feel embarassed and horrified by it.
one of the most effective weapons we have against fascism is mockery, especially when its really funny

a woman I know sat at 9:45pm as she was waiting to cross the street to go start her shift convoy of 🧊 cane down the street. The🧊 swerved to drive into her so she stepped back between cars & then 1 of vehicles backfired as they drove by windows down laughing.

Per the speaker at tonight's rapid response meeting, ICE agents are booking hotel rooms in the Twin Cities for 60 to 90 days.

Heads up, Twin Cities—

CBP agent Timothy Donahue was photographed outside the Whipple building yesterday. In Chicago, he was documented aggressively detaining bystanders; also involved in at least one car crash.

Most importantly, he also brandished his gun at a crowd in Evanston on 10/31.

Pretty sure the correct response to this is that old line from the lone ranger, "what do you mean we white man?" 🤣
We don't want businesses asking every white guy with a bad haircut to show them his papers

Would be tremendously funny if the Twin Cities became the small car capital of the world because no one wants to ever be mistaken for being an ICE dipshit.

ICE totaled this car, abducted a woman, and then left it in the middle of Snelling Avenue, one of the busiest streets in the Twin Cities.

This isn’t law and order, this state sanctioned terrorism. It’s fucking disgusting.

When we lived in Midway, this was the store that processed the most WIC and EBT in the state of Minnesota. They know exactly what they are doing. This is really painful to see in a neighborhood I love. Fuck Target.
ICE at Midway Target and seem to possible be leaving. Lots of community members here

I think the misogynist contempt that’s evident as a motivation in the murder of Renee Good makes her killing by a state actor more similar to so-called private violence—eg domestic violence homocides—than some arguments that rely on a firm distinction between state and private violence can sustain.

People aren't leaving; looks like more have arrived since we have. Someone just shouted "suck my dick" and the crowd joined in with a spontaneous "suck his dick!" chant.

The message from the White House this morning is that, once again, it falls on ordinary American citizens to remain calm and professional when dealing with the heavily armed agents of the government because they are very emotional and might fly off into a murderous rage at the slightest insult.

There are good journalists out there who grasp that we are living in an emergency moment, at the mercy of serial liars, bigots, and government thugs. They are steady. They are clear-eyed. They understand what is needed. And they have been right exponentially more often than the "calm down" crew.

Rest in power to Keith Porter who was murdered by an ICE agent in Los Angeles.

It’s terrible that his name is just now being circulated, but now that it is, continue to say his name.

Advocates argue that the off-duty ICE agent wasn't trained for the situation and should have called police and waited for them to arrive.

This
This isn't a series of independent zero-sum games.

We don't need to win every battle. We do need to exact a price every time they raid our communities.

Reduce harm as much as you can. Make sure they leave more weary than they came.

Trust that comrades in other cities will pick up the baton.

There’s also the problem of the simultaneous domineering demands for subservience & the concurrent claim that ICE agents are traumatized whittle babies who “fear for their lives” and need to have their feelings considered. Are they big, mean, scary bullies or sensitive children? You can’t have both.
