Green Party Leader Elizabeth May was the lone opposition MP who voted to support Mark Carney’s government in a recent budget vote.

Now, she says that was a 'mistake.'

That's why I've been dying to talk to her. Tomorrow, she's obliging me.

PM Carney subsidizes Big Oil to pump carbon to increase production.
He walks back greenwashing rules allowing Big Oil to lie.
He cuts a deal on planet killing methane.
Now his team is walking.

Trans people suffer the most violence in prison. PREA was never enough but it’s just disgusting to roll it back.
BREAKING: Trump administration plans to end prison rape protections for trans & intersex people, memo says. A DOJ memo says certain standards under the Prison Rape Elimination Act (PREA) do not align with Trump’s Jan. 20 anti-trans executive order, @byadamrhodes.bsky.social reports.

Cannot stress how bad shit is about to get if you want to build any kind of PC.
Crucial is shutting down — because Micron wants to sell its RAM and SSDs to AI companies instead. It’s already getting hard to build an affordable PC, and the exit of the longstanding provider of consumer memory is going to make that even more challenging www.theverge.com/news/837594/...

Groups of dudes who self-segregate & talk each other into believing that they are uniquely brilliant & everyone else just doesn't get it ... are responsible for some of history's most florid horrors.
It's kind of mind-blowing how these tech dorks think they're so smart and have the utmost confidence in their genius, while actual smart people are constantly doubting themselves and critiquing their own arguments.

There aren't many multipartisan consensuses in Ontario politics, but the one we can be most grateful for beyond nuclear is agreement on regional rail build-out. It may be slow, frustrating, and occasionally subject to pork barrelling, but we *have* come a long way and a lot of great stuff is coming.
In August 2025 GO rail ridership surpassed that of the Metro-North Railroad for the first time, making it (for a while) the second busiest railway in North America by passenger numbers.
