I’d say I’m interested in the psychology of someone who’s always thought she’s smarter than everyone, despite evidence to the contrary, but it’s not very psychologically interesting; she’s rewarded for being power-seeking and not very sharp, so she believes her mandate is to insult competent people

During Christmas, a time when so many people are spending time with family for the holidays, I always notice that a disproportionate number of service industry workers who are covering those days tend to be queer.
It always makes me a bit sad why this is likely the case.
