Given the economic nonsense that they are promoting to support separatism, separatism is not their goal: annexation by the US is their goal.

Separatist Jeff Rath (Alberta Prosperity Project) says that the “US administration is very excited about Alberta independence”.

Rath and Cam Davies (Alberta Republican Party) visited Mar-a-Lago and White House several times.

Who arranges these meetings?

One of my hopes is that the current recalls will start to get more people involved in what's happening in the province. I hope so 🤞🏽🤞🏽
Are you an #alberta resident in one of the ridings where your MLA is facing a recall petition? If you agree that the UCP is going down a dangerous path, you can help by becoming a canvasser and helping to collect signatures for those recalls! 💪🍁

With Canada's ER problem that is now in the global public eye, we can't afford to be flippant about preventable infectious diseases like COVID & influenza, because they contribute to surging capacity in ER. Airborne mitigations now
I am positive that severe overcrowding was a major factor in delays to care, and that his prolonged waiting did NOT improve anything in this pt's case.

The institutional response will be to try to blame one single HCW for this tragic outcome...

I've created this graphic to illustrate how bizarre this is

This reminds me of the pandemic switch to online education and the various reactions.

Nearly all of which missed the fact that what we all did was do an emergency pivot against our will, without training in online pedagogy, not a purposefully thought out modal shift.

If someone says to you, "what are you doing about students' use of AI?" ask them, "do you think that this should be my problem? How good do you think my response can be? Should it not be up to legislators & administrators to defend against a commercial industry's attack on your child's education?"

America has 925 billionaires as of this year. Collectively they have a record $6.9 trillion in wealth.

The bottom 50% of Americans control $4.2 trillion in wealth.

When 925 people control more wealth than half a country’s population, we have a very serious problem.

This is perfect. The DOJ's embarrassing snafu with disappearing redactions was the fault of Elon Musk. Musk cancelled government subscriptions to Adobe programs that would have made the redactions permanent. What a pack of fools.

The lecturer in question is our colleague in children’s literature studies. She is a brilliant scholar and from all accounts a gifted teacher.

This ruling is infuriating… at the end of the day, it is our students’ education that will suffer.
Texas A&M University will not reinstate a lecturer who was fired after a video of her teaching about gender identity in a children’s literature class went viral, despite a faculty appeals panel unanimously concluding that her dismissal was not justified.

The province receives recommendations from panels all the time, and premier & gov't take or leave ideas as they please.
But this is different.
This panel was *chaired* by Premier Danielle Smith.
