One way that the modern Internet is terrible for liberalism is that it is really easy to find out about people who either dislike you or whose lifestyle choices you dislike, and frankly the best way to go through life, in so many ways, is just to be able to go 'that's not my concern'.
One thing I learnt many years ago that has never failed me since, is that what other people think of you is 100% irrelevant unless they are people you actually like & nothing you do in response will change how most ppl think of you anyway, so might as well just go live your life unconcerned with it

again shout out to the Inbetweeners, where, a) they're played by people in their early 20s who can still pull off looking genuinely teenage (awkward and ugly) and b) absolutely nobody gets laid in the entire series until the movie spin-offs
a real thing that annoys me is that teen movies have teens played by people in their 30s who are banging their way through high school, a thing most people are not doing
Most mainstream sitcoms! And so popular teen movies were about how much boning teens are doing!
